- How does the Thumper Performance Head work for you?
Since adding the Thumper Head I have definitely seen a gain in performance right where I was looking for it, I feel it most above 4k RPM. I don't worry about off-the-line power so much, but I really do like the extra "pull" it has now in the mid-range. I've done some Track Day events and autocrosses before getting the Thumper Head, so once I do some more of those I'll update this with any observations on improvements. I haven't had the car dyno tested yet, but I plan on having the ECU custom tuned, so when I do I'll post my results here. I don't see any negatives since installing the head. My MINI is a daily driver, and 90% of my miles are on the highway, and the car is running great around town in all conditions. Thanks Thumper - the head rocks!!!!!
